Vincent Mancuso | ||
Artist Bio | ||
| Born in Greenwich, CT, the artist earned awards and high marks as a student in art. His artistic background includes work in design drafting, illustration, interior design, and greeting card design. As an adult, Mancuso studied portraiture for a decade with the internationally-renowned artist, Fran Lew. More than a work of art, a Mancuso portrait in pastels is a family's heritage that will endure for generations. He is influenced by the pastel masters Degas, Renoir, Manet, Marie Cassatt, , modern day master, Daniel Greene, and other portrait artists such as Rembrandt, Adolphe-William Bouguereau and John Singer Sargent. Mancuso has completed numerous land and seascapes. In his travels in the U.S. and Europe, alpine and marine scenes inspired his work. A tour of Italy is a special source of inspiration. A resident of Saint Petersburg, he is captivated by Florida vistas, sunrise to sunset. Mancuso's original artwork and reproductions are in private and corporate collections.
He is a member of the Portrait Society of America and the Pastel Society of America,
and is
Listed in Who's Who in American Art. Since 2002,
he has been an
instructor at The Arts Center in St. Petersburg. | ||
